Sorry for the late response, but I'm still playing the game. My one and only metric is fun. If I'm having fun I play, if not I move onto something else. If that's in 40, 80, 1000 hours it's all good. I'm not one of those people that thinks or needs a game to perpetually entertain me and I'm...
I have a 3x2TB NVME and then a bunch of oldder SSDs slapped together in another 5 or so TB. Haven't used a spinner in my main system in years.
The file server is another story though.
Never had a problem with the AAF drivers either. They were really solid when I needed DTS Connect or DDL Live or even the SoundBlaster stuff. Agreed that some of those download sites are cancer++
This isn't a firewall issue at all. If both PCs are on the same LAN port 80 will work. If these PCs are Internet facing turn it back on because you're probably exposing port 80 to the wild Internet.
You are absolutely using the wrong IP address.
Microsoft's main demographic isn't tech enthusiasts and with WSL, VScodium, winget, etc it's not like they're giving the middle finger to em either.
Not sure what's wrong with Microsoft hardware either. Their surface laptops have been great.

First step in troubleshooting.
TLDR newer (as in since Windows 10) DCH drivers don't install...
4k requires a fast I/O subsystem. Thankfully good + fast NVMEs exist ;).
Even on the cheap you could RAID0 together 3 or 5 cheap SATAIII SSDs for some scratch space.
edit:
To add a beefier CPU will help in certain situations too. Depends on what your current storage hardware is like.
Best set of IEMs I've ever had.

If you can find these or the w40s for a decent price I'd highly recommend them.
