Ok, I think I've figured out how to do this without a KVM. Let me know if I've overlooked something.
After thinking about it some more, I probably won't be using all 3 monitors at the same time. I'll just be using 2 smaller monitors for work and web surfing, etc. The larger monitor I'll be...
I recently bought it on a sale that I couldn't resist. I got the dark / black one, not the RGB one. Hoping all the glowing reviews are true.
Since the time I bought it, I've decided to wait with my build until Arrow Lake.
I mean... yes we are talking about SFF mini PCs. Thank you for seeing that.
Yes, everyone is nitpicking benchmark results. And yes, the Linus scandal invalidates all his benchmark results.
M Chips require cooling, like any other CPU. Macbook Pros thermal throttle, just ask anyone who uses...
Moving the goalpost. We're not talking about "other things", we're talking about SFF mini PCs.
LTT? Seriously? You're actually going by what Linus says, after the huge scandal involving his reviews?
Again, it's irrelevant to compare laptop GPU performance with mini PC performance, since...
Yes, I could even get separate C-legs instead of the usual T-legs, which would give me more clearance underneath. The problem with a bigger desk than 24" is if I get a deeper desk, those extra inches means pushing my other desk beside it (in an L-shape) several inches back past what I have room...
Gee, I don't know. Hmm...Could it be the similar dimensions and proportions, the silver color, maybe even the name "ultra"? Gosh, I dunno, what could it be?
Where did I say Apple invented the SFF?
Mac Studio M2 Ultra beats Nvidia RTX 4090 in stabilizing video clips, masked tracking, and...
But wouldn't that retract back into the desk too far? Or would I have to leave it extended all the time?
That's what I was kind of thinking. Make a platform beneath the cross beam and attached the keyboard tray to that.
I'm planning on getting a sit and standing desk. The desk is only 24" deep and because I will have 3 monitors and a bunch of items on the desk, I don't think I'll have room to place the keyboard on the desk top itself. So I will need to sit back from the desk using a keyboard tray. But the desk...
This is obviously a windows version of the Mac Studio ultra. I mean, Lenovo is not even trying to hide it.
It seems to be able to be configured with up to an Intel i-9. And, unlike the Mac Studio, it can be upgraded. Very nice.
I was soooo hoping this would also have just as powerful...
Thanks. I didn't realize usb 4 used TB 3 standard. This usb-c stuff is getting really complicated, I can't keep up.
I just plan to connect my monitors to my laptop using one cable, without a dock for now.
I have a laptop with 2 usb-c ports (one is PD). Neither is thunderbolt. If I get a monitor with a usb-c upstream port, will this power the laptop along with video to the monitor by using just one cable?
Or do I need a thunderbolt port on my laptop?
