Nvidia will release a 5090
It is hoped that top RDNA 4 would be equal to (or just short of 4080).
I expect the top RDNA 4 to just beat the raster of 7900 xt & match or better RT of 7900 xtx
The rumour says that all RDNA 4 cards would be...
It should be good & smaller
Nobody knows the price. But we can take a guess
There will be 2 chips
Smaller one (navi 44) = 4060 ti = $300 (or less)
The bigger one (navi 48) should be double the smaller one. That should make it in the range of...
the faster you go, the bigger the performance ratio you loose for the same amount of millisecond used by RT, we rarely see some good RT values (and I am not sure if would matter much when it goes to buy a gpu for gaming)
A 4090/4080 are...
They could but there are still a lot of RX 7600 through 7800’s kicking around on shelves, they are already quite below MSRP the AIB’s would shit a brick if AMD did that while ample stock remained, they would insist that AMD pay them the...
I have more issues with unreal engine games then with bethesda gamebrio games, and also if they can't get their own engine to play nicely how would they do with a 3rd party one?
Guess I'm not "bro dude hardcore" enough to like...expect out of the box components to function in a stable, non damaging matter (besides lemons) when first installed and booted.
Lmao.
This actually screwed me upgrading some laptop ram. The bios had no way for using xmp profiles.
Thankfully Kingston makes laptop ram that IS overclocked out of the box for this specific reason.
Only time I've ever seen it.
Overclocked ram does come stable out of the box. At least the ones I've bought. You usually have to enable a profile to reach the stated overclocked speed.
Nobody is complaining that Intel allows you to go to such high values on their...
Yes, this is what I was saying. Margins are still positive but dangerously low.
Clearly AMD has unsold inventory.
Can Lisa Su convince share holders of the need to reduce margins further to clear the inventory ?
....what are you talking about?
I'm not sure what is so hard to understand that parts should be stable out of the box regardless if they're running at the number on the box or not.
It's very differen't because overclocked RAM isn't overclocked out the gate, you load the auto profile for that CPU and it will start out at 5400 with some loose ass timing even if that RAM is rated for 7000, and you have to implement the timings...
I still think something changed in the microcode which changed core utilization and current and power draw, for certain scenarios. Probably a little after 14th gen launch. Maybe when they added that feature which boosts game performance. Called...
I'm watching some playthroughs of Fallout 3 on YT by newcomers to the game and I forgot how much fun it is, and how different it is from Starfield. A well thought out map makes a big difference- the script and voice acting is great as well...
Actually, hardware wise the MI300 is superior to the NV offering currently. So I don't really believe your quota based argument here. AMD is working hand in hand with large customers such as Oracle and MS with the MI300.
I truly believe...
I think Nvidia's 12th biggest customer places single orders that are bigger than AMD's entire data center business.
So no RDNA 4 this year. Got it.
This is the situation AMD is in. The same supply constraints that are holding back MI300 sales...
Power Color and Sapphire are definitely the oldest players, XFX wasn't making ATI cards until ~2008.
It's a bit disingenuous though to say those companies only make video cards. Sapphire currently also makes AIO CPU coolers and embedded systems...
