I've seen weird issues with cheap HDMI cables and DVI to HDMI converters, but they were usually rolling horizontal lines and snowy static, not the squares that you are describing.
But cables "on their way out" can do some weird things. Couldn't...
Not saying the review bombing had no impact, but I'd bet that the unconditional refunds Steam was giving, as well as delisting the product in 100+ countries from sale entirely, had more to do with it.
I hope the negative reviews get cleaned up...
I rather enjoyed windows 8, Especially When the 8.1 update dropped. The Boot straight to desktop option was great. And 8,8.1 was rock solid. 🤷♂️
Windows 11 isn't that terrible, but Microsoft is definitely keeping up its tradition of swinging between great and mediocre OS releases since Windows 98. By that token I suspect Windows 12 will be amazing.
That's something i meant to put in my response, Since 3840 x 2160 is 4K, Why can't 2560x1440 be 2K? I remember back 10-11 years ago when 4k monitors were first getting going in the pc market, there was a lot of discussion/argument over that.
I get all that, But to keep it short, In our world (PC gaming, even console gaming) Givining 1440p the side name of 2k just works. I rarely see any monitors that are 2048x1080.(if ever). In modern pc gaming resolutions 4096 x 2160= 4K...
So compared side-by-side with the AW32 QD-OLED, they both have some give and take as to be expected. The colors are slightly better on the QD, but the whites are way better as to be expected on the WRGB. With some tweaking in Vivid mode for use...
The 6700XT would be my choice in your case. That system would likely get you near 144hz although the cpu would certainly be the bottleneck for it. I have a B450 Tomahawk max mainboard and 5600G cpu I will be posting here for sale soon that I'm...
The 3060(non ti), Or the 6700 you mentioned is as far as you should go on that setup. An upgrade to coffee lake or rocket lake would do wonders, Even for the 1080.
