If it means anything to you the last time I bought an HDD from Newegg it came shipped in a plastic clamshell in a box 4 times bigger than a shoe box with brown paper on top of the drive. The little paper they used did not keep it from moving in the box. The drive's clamshell was touching the...
Ditto, had an early Crucial SSD go bad it just died with no warning. My young, at the time, son's first PC purchase. Crucial wanted to give him a prorated warranty replacement of 20% off his next SSD purchase. I replied and gave them the ol' "I have been using Crucial memory since back in the...
I did remember that but you had to go and connect the first PC first for it to work if I remember correctly. The router lets any PC initiate the connection. (Remember setting up an app to connect so you would not hit the busy time and end up with a busy signal?)
I attached the quote from 2000...
I can check my old PC if you still want it and see if it still has a dial-up modem in it. No more modems in my parts bin.
Oh man reminds me of the olden days. I had a router with a serial port that would dial out to my ISP to share 54k speed across my network. Heck, when I got cable internet...
It's why I paid a few extra dollars so I would not need to flash, trying to save a bit of time during the busy season. Guess I better learn how and flash.

I put the PC to sleep removed...
I was thinking about that, I dropped the card in my main box. When I powered up the drive (I used external power) it temporarily shut off my PC then froze Diskpart until I shut off the drive.
I tried a different drive with the same results.
Device manager saw the sas but as a different model...
I got a server from work, I installed an SSD and Proxmox. Everything worked.
I swapped out the Raid card for an HBA card.
When I did I get 4 beeps on the boot and nothing. (all beeps are the same length so manual was no help) No bios boot screen.
To test:
I swapped the video card and HBA...

Didn't spend a bunch of money, new case LIAN LI LANCOOL 215 X for my wife, she picked it out. Got a 1tb NVME for her PC, for...
I have a note taped under my keyboard that reads L10WPX%ld*8()N because upside down it reads N()8*Pl%XdM017 or N()8*Pl%XdMOl7 or N()8*Pl%XdMO17or you get the idea. I hope who ever uses it lock my accounts trying. (it's not even close to my real PW).
I got to know why, do you know? He wasn't making money from it, or was he charging for Norton? (Not that it matters but he used a keygen, not a logger, at least I hope not:unsure:).
