The placeholder art during the Hades 1 EA was still better than it is here, IMO.

gonna say the same thing i said in the other thread: well that's what happens when you try to rush a product to market to try to cash in on someone else's laurels, in this case the steam deck. which was crafted with love. i'd just wait for steam...

Yea after seeing your cpu, you’re going to need a whole new setup to even get close to what you’re wanting at 1440p, regardless of gpu. You can slap a 4090 in there and won’t even come close. You’re going to need an entire platform upgrade to...

Bankie replied to the thread Hades II.
I've put 2.5 hours into it so far. It's pretty good but it's not gripping my like Hades 1 did. Might be because I've played so many rogue-lites since then or maybe it's because I've been playing Tiny Rogues recently and it has all of the...

There talks about humanity being in something possibly akin to the industrial revolution in something that could be a 10 trillion industry that could take 80% of the new electricity demand in the US.... but lets talk about some controversy...

Was an overblown marketing initiative bandwagoned by the press as many things are, and ancient history by now. Lol... What's wrong with good profit margins for a corporation? That's a good thing. Overpricing? Compared to who? They have the best...

They aren’t really allowed to, they can wave a finger at them and say “No! bad AIB!!!!” But they can’t fine them, they can’t withhold product, they can’t take legal actions, and they can’t revoke their ability to sell their product. So what can...

If these guys were like other devs they would’ve lopped off areas like Caelid, Nokron, Miquella’s Haligtree, etc. and made them paid DLC’s. They probably would’ve made loads more dough and received nothing but praise. I’m still baffled by the...

I don’t agree about that for odyssey. That’s an outstanding game and the best of that generation of AC games.

All three of those companies offer far far more services than a table at a flea market. If the flea market was running a credit card processor and concession stands with free drinks, maybe that would be a similar comparison.

Ubi is apparently removing licenses in order to totally kill the game even after the servers were shutdown. There appears to be a workaround at least but who knows if Ubi will try to stop that as well...

Slay the Spire 2 has been announced by Mega Crit via a YouTube trailer for the 2025 release. The first game was fun even though I never played it the way it was supposed to be played. You're supposed to build these decks with some semblance of...

Apparently it took a good level of sophistication... it is yet to fully understood from what I understand (compile chain are still quite broken right now, large part of project on vcpkg and other does not work out of the box) and the user account...

Not great at the time? I had the SDR and it slayed Quake 3 when it released; IIRC it was a huge upgrade over the TNT.

Your wires got crossed. Where the game is sold has no bearing on how the backbone servers are operated. This has nothing to do with capitalism or competition. Ubisoft is paying for operating the servers the game depends on, so they are free to...

Think of rt as the new "ultra". It is the benchmark for high visual quality now :). Not that games can't look great without it, but it's a whole extra tier of visuals for games that implement it well.

Bankie replied to the thread 7900xtx or 4080 super?.
Not caring about RT is a legitimate stance for anyone to have. BUT I enjoy being able to use it when it's there and RDNA3 not really allowing me to legitimately use it any more than my 2 gen old Turing card did is just a bit disappointing. It was...

Want Ray Tracing then you have to pay the Nvidia tax, especially with the amount of pixels you are pushing. Honestly I can tell if your using DLSS or FSR, they both have obvious visual artifacts and why I never want either on for any reason...

Bankie replied to the thread 7900xtx or 4080 super?.
As someone who's had a 7900XT for a little over a month now I wish I would have returned it and gone with a 4070TiS or splurged for a 4080S. The AMD GPU is fine until you decide to max a game's settings only to find it has RT and you're reduced...
