Does anyone have any further information on this issue raised by benchmarkreviews.com? Looks like SSDs don't run well with this controller. :(
I was looking at a P6X58D, but if the Marvell controller doesn't perform with SSDs what the point.

Benchmark Reviews has exposed a terrible flaw in the design, and only time will tell if SSD performance on the Marvell SATA 6Gb/s controller chips will improve to meet the level Intel's ICH10 Southbridge can deliver.

Interesting article, thanks. Will have to pay closer attention to motherboard review SSD performance from now on.
 
Based upon past performance of onboard 3rd party storage controllers, I expected nothing less. ;)
 
There is a firmware update for this controller in the works I saw here. It's specifically looking at raid performance - but at least we know they're still actively working on current issues.
