On the bright side (ba-dum, tssss) my 27GR95QE will probably last forever without getting burn in, because it literally can't get bright enough to burn anything. I still enjoy using it though. Dark room with no reflections, looks fine.
I have this same problem on one of my LG 4k monitors that only started recently when I started using it with a new Geekom tiny PC that I bought. When I plug the monitor into the USB4 on the PC to DP on the monitor, it does that same thing. It doesn't do it all the time, and it's really...
Actually, it's just Windows key + B
EDIT: nvm, it's Win+Alt+B... I'd been using the shortcut so long my muscle memory was pressing Alt for me. Sorry for the confusion.
I'd recommend going with a Bluetooth setup vs pulling power from the Deck. You'll drain the battery fast and lose your only USB port.
Look for something with both a DAC and amp, Bluetooth, both 3.5 and 4.4mm jacks, and a simplistic interface. Avoid anything with Android as the interface, or...
Well, knowing how bad some of these initial firmware releases have been, I'd be a bit nervous about buying one that can't be updated. Actually, more than a bit.
I really wish they were 3840x1600, like my good ol 38GN950. Or 5120x2160... even better. I'd upgrade to the 39" if it was. Samsung or LG tech, don't care which. I wasn't a big fan of the overblown 800R curve on the previous 45" either. It's a bit ridiculous. Sad to see they kept it the...
I don't think any manufacturer is going to give us glossy OLED monitors. (Dough doesn't count) I'd swap my 27GR95QE in a second if I could find a glossy OLED monitor. It's just not likely to happen.
From what I remember, and keep in mind this was like 20 years ago, was issues with overclocking, which was a big deal back then (for me at least). It would cause weird USB problems. BIOS settings that didn't work correctly. Big problems with DMA and hard drives, especially when using RAID...
I remember when Nvidia made x86 chipsets. They weren't that great, but still better than VIA.
I sure wouldn't expect their first attempt in 15+ years to be a grand slam.
Same. I'm not discrediting anyone who says this monitor doesn't get bright enough. I get your point of view and if you need/have to deal with lights or windows. All I can say is that if you can play in a dark room, it's really awesome.
I was just thinking that the Gsync only uses displayport and how you mentioned the problem goes away on HDMI. Maybe they power supply is bad. Turning on puts the most stain on it, especially if there's a bad capacitor that isn't holding a charge.
