Liking it so far. Upgraded from 7. Hated Windows 8.
As far as the Nvidia control panel, if you go into device manager and click update driver and click update from the web. It will tell you, you have the latest driver. Then it will ask you to reboot. After that, the Geforce experience will...
I haven't upgraded my PC in 2 years. I don't use it half as much as I used to. So I can't justify the expense of upgrading it. Hell, my 24" monitor is 8 years old. Works fine. I do most day to day stuff on my phone, Nexus 7 or Chromecast.
Black Ops II was actually a decent game. At least Treyarch were pretty serious about keeping the cheaters out. Ghost, on the other hand, is an epic POS. I bought it last November and I bet I have less then 2 hours into it. The lack of dedicated servers just absolutely killed it for me.
I have no desire to install Windows 8. Ever. 7 never gives me any problems. And since I use my desktop less and less in favor of mobile; MS can keep 8.
I use both. Droid Maxx for my personal phone and an Iphone for my work phone. I can't stand the iphone. I hate that I can't customize it like I can my Android. It doesn't have widgets and the experience is just very plain. But the iphone does have a good camera. But there is no way in hell I...
She does make a good point. I have no issue with violence in video games. But I think they are just using gore and over the top violence to mask lack of creativity, and what's become a very stale genre.
It's a good place to start. It's a little dated now. The media scrapers on XBMC are vastly improved. As far as hardware; it just comes down to how much you want to spend. I have a 3TB drive in my main pc and I stream from that to a Dell Latitude I use as the front end for XBMC on my home...
I'm a facilities engineer and we have been putting these things everywhere in several office buildings. If I didn't tell you they were LED's you'd never know the difference. Incondecent bulbs are no longer manufactured in the US.
I couldn't be bothered. They may have decent quality but their clueless on enthusiast design.
They don't hold a candle to Coolermaster or Corsair. Their 200mm Big Boy fans are second to none though.
You probably don't know what your talking about since you don't know me. I will never buy an Apple product. Because thats my choice. Something Apple is totally against... choice.
Well these clearly can't be enthusiast class cases. LOL, I mean nobody would have the balls to bring out an enthusiast class case without cable management. So I have to assume that "not everybody" means non enthusiast. But I would like to see what the other 2 cases look like though.
I'd get the Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra. Then mock everyone else for having puney little cases.

I was looking at two Sapphire Toxic 6950's but those went away. I've been using ATI cards for 10 years, so I'm looking to change things up.
I fixed the link. And yes it's a 2500k. The EVGA CPU cooler is a good mix of price/performance. It's one of the better coolers out there. I was...
Nope that's why I came here. Nothing's in stone. So I made some changes.
Switched mobo to Asus Z68 Deluxe

True. But I don't think anything is really gonna challenge dual 560's at 1900x1200. If I use a 570 and go SLI later, it's going to bottle neck the cpu. No, I'm satisfied with the GPU setup.
Supports Quad SLI. PSU is fine if I run 3 way later. And Why would I go with a single 570? I get much bigger bang for the buck running 560 SLI for a few bucks more. I looked at the Arc Midi. Nice case. Not what I'm looking for though.
So I've spec'd my new gaming PC. I'm out for maximum bang for the dollar while future proofing for at least 3-4 years. I already have a 750gig hdd and an optical drive so those are not included in this build. I think It's as good as it gets for the money. What do you think?
CPU: i5 2500. Should...
This is a negatively pressurized case. Which means it's a vacuum cleaner. I just checked out the review over at Legit. There are no filters other then for the PSU. No intake fans supplied. I know from experience that type of acrylic window fan mount will be noisy as hell. Antec builds good...
It's not just a Cooler Master issue. I have an Antec 200 that does the same thing. You plug a USB device in one of the front ports and 6 times out of 10, the PC will reboot.
I need one because I am currently on a 4 year old 350GB WD. I am building a whole new system next month. I intend to OC to 5ghz and will be using Corsair Dominator 8GB ram. So I want to eliminate my HDD bottleneck. And the Force Series GT SSD will do just that.
I have a $1500 budget for a new rig. I already have the HDD and DVD burner, so those are covered.
Here is the rest.
Intel 2500k
ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z motherboard
Corsair Carbide Series 500R case
MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III video card
COUGAR 850 Watt PSU
G.SKILL Ripjaws 8GB DDR3

I just bought a cheap HP USB gaming headset with mic. The headset works but I can't get the mic to work. Every thing detects and loads fine and the capture settings seem ok. Im on Win 7 home. I've tried a couple different usb ports but no luck. Any ideas? Oh and I do not have the mic...
