Is frame gen and DLAA bugged for anyone? I am only getting 90-95 fps at 4K DLSS Quality but when I turn on frame gen it drops to 70 fps. When I use DLAA and irrespective of frame gen it drops to 55-60 fps. Wtf is this crap?
I would rate the game worse than Alan Wake 2.
I really want to pick this up. Not sure why I haven’t done already. Probably because I am traveling 3/4 weeks in May.
Better to pick it up at half price instead.
Finished FF7 Intermission DLC. Was good enough and probably one of the DLCs that should’ve been DLC as incorporating it in main game would’ve been bad.
It deserves review bomb due to lack of credits same as Forza needs to be review bombed.
Good thing with this one is that they lend you the car so you can at least complete the SP parts without difficulty unlike Forza which requires you to play even the most idiotic races to be able to afford...
Most of this stuff is disposable. 1200-1500$ display that lasts over 3 years is good enough for me. That's 500$ a year for a hobby that brings me much joy. Still cheaper than many other hobbies people have.
Given I sit 2-3 feet away, I don't have any issues of brightness or colors. QD OLEDs are typically higher in saturation and that is evident here as well but there are enough options to adjust it.
FF7 Crisis Core. Solid game. 8/10. It’s PSP roots were evident and I would’ve been pissed off to pay the full price. However, picked this up on discount and it was fine for a 10 hour run. Good to have some prelude to what happens in FF7 games.
So I have had this for over a week and some change and this is the monitor to beat. Amazing colors, vibrant and detailed. No text fringing I can see. 240 Hz. Only issue is VRR flicker on grey backgrounds and loading screens (doesn't happen with grey in game). Not sure what will be the fix but...
That's great - my character runs like flash. I don't mind and skipping dialog that is boring is a good thing. I am only level 7 so if this uncapped framerate makes me finish the game faster that's awesome.
P.S. I fixed the FOV.
Tried to play Evil West. The game is caught between trying to be a good shooter and RPG. A fallacy most games fall into and ruin the gameplay in the process. Also I am usually not that disgusted by blood soaked backdrops but the game has it everywhere plus enemy design really is uninspired and...
Now trying my hand at Crisis Core FF7 on PS5. Downloading Quarry on XSX. Also continue to play COD MW3 MP on this spanking OLED. Forbidden West also here and there.
Also got some 20 games downloaded on PC on GP but none of them really interest me at this time.
Any better ideas for games on...
Not sure how much brightness is required but I am doing just fine with the PG32UCDM. For my use case it is best I can get. I just hope ASUS puts out a firmware to reduce VRR flicker in menus. It is a bit absurd that this still exists on Samsung panels.
I played performance sharper graphics (even though some claim it does nothing). At the end I was indifferent as I sit about 10 feet away from my 65 inch C9. So it looked OK I guess. FF7 Remake definitely looked better.
Also I finished FF7 Rebirth. Last boss was a PITA so after 5 tries I lowered...
I just upgraded to Asus PG32UCDM. It’s the best monitor I have ever used. The whole brightness stuff people talk about is not something I can see. For me this is plenty bright and HDR is phenomenal on it. Also the bright room vs dark room is also not a problem I faced. I have been using OLEDs in...
After 2 days of use. This is the monitor I have been waiting for since 2020. Finally a monitor that isn't a complete disaster.
Only issue is sometimes in very specific situations there is some VRR flicker. Thus far I only saw it on COD MW3 menu screen (not persistent) and SF6 menu screen. Both...
There was no film. We tried to check multiple times. I have asked the shop to try and see if there is one again.
Ok guy says there might be a film - so I am going to go and see. He wants me to be there before we peel it lol.
So I went to pick up this monitor. The shop was mindful of opening it up to check for dents/damages before sending me off with one. Unpacked it and to our surprise the monitor had scruff marks on both sides. Tried to clean with a cloth to no avail. Then confirmed it wasn't an extra film on the...
You guys might be playing FF7 Rebirth wrong. I am 70 hours in and on chapter 13 point of no return but want to go back and level up a bit more. Combat is great fun but I can agree with rest of the padding a bit too much. I liked FF7 remake better due to linear gameplay. Having said that this...
And finally hit point of no return in FF7 Rebirth after over 70 hours. Still level 48. I am wondering if I should go back and do some of the sides and also complete the only region left which has like 7 intel pieces left including my last protorelic. I really went all in this game. At the end of...
Still playing FF7 Rebirth. Taking all my time. 65 hours in and on chapter 12 and decided to do the side content. I think already closed out 4 regions completely. Game is pretty good but doesn't do anything particularly well. I really think the open world brought it down compared to remake which...
37 hours in and still enjoying this. Chapter 9 now. Does anyone have suggestions on a great build. Sometimes getting my ass handed to me (e.g., chapter 9 first boss). Took me a while to level up and understand his mechanics before taking him down. Also went back to grasslands to try and do all...
Still ploughing through FF7 Rebirth. Have really gotten into the game now. 37 hours in and on chapter 9. I have tons of unexplored stuff in the regions. Game is massive.
Will probably day one this. PS5 is showing its age especially in newer games. FF7 Rebirth is atrocious to play on it unless you hit performance mode which looks like vaseline smeared on the display.
