Very sad news, I greatly enjoyed Bad Company 1 on Xbox 360 and on Playstation 3, and then Bad Company 2 on both and then on PC. In fact I contemplated getting an Xbox the last few years to play BC1 again but it never happened.
Bad Company 1 being lost to time on console is a shame, I doubt...
I was gonna go with the TUF DDR5 but saw the Z790-H is newer and only $20 more, seemed to be slightly better so why not, wanted a nice motherboard. Hopefully won't regret not doing the TUF, idk how accurate their marketing about more reliable components, ESD guards etc... maybe some of that is...
I bit, with a code it came to $271 pretax, I needed an Nvidia GPU for a new gaming build where I am just targeting 1080p 75hz. 4070 Ti complete overkill even if new tech is nice, will ride out with 3060 till something better is needed or I upgrade monitor to a more demanding performance target.
Well almost 8 years since I got my EW2740L I'm trying to use it as a gaming monitor, overclocked it to 75z and seems stable as far as I can tell and I am able to run games on adaptive vsync at 75fps feels good. Responsive enough for me so far for some Rainbow Six Siege and BF2042. Anyone else...
Completely agree. Best part of BC2/BF3/BF4 for me was the community I played with that ran their own servers. Utter disgrace that feature left, takes away that community feel that keeps you coming back. People were invested in curating their communities and that enriched the game and made...
Oh I think I get it, yeah I see that's kind of worse than the raised reflective (in the inner part) bezels of the EW2740L, huh.
So what's the best alternative to the BenQs again, maybe with something other than HDMI as an input option? Not that I'm not liking my EW2740L, great for consuming...
Recently got a EW2740L, going to send it back for the EW2750ZL because it's cheaper for some reason.
I finally see what you mean by the garbage bezels, they literally reflect the light from the screen, and yeah it's not cool. I don't really see how the frameless casing is worse though. I assume...
Thanks for the heads up they updated the EW2740L that I just got a couple weeks ago...
Good thing it was from Amazon, off it goes, I suspect stuck pixels anyways, and the new one is 60$ less than I what I bought this one for!
Jesus, now I don't know if I should wait past early July to see if it is indeed 100hz. How much harder would it be to drive than the XB270HU with a 980 Ti.
The cost will probably be too prohibitive for me though D:
Keep up the feedback for those who jumped in early, I wanna see how things evolve by in a month or two because it seems like an ace panel on paper, with no competition even announced yet!
Is it relatively safe to buy this thing yet? Seems QA is really problematic...
I can wait until about early July probably, pricing seems to be going down slowly to more like 700$ too!
I do need a better gfx card with it though, my GTX 670 and Samsung S23700AD combo is almost 3 years old.
800$, damn well it is in line with market offerings, that's a lot of $$$ considering I'd also need a GPU upgrade from my GTX 670. Don't think I can swing the $$ for the summer gaming season meh :(
Maybe by the years end, ugh. Gotta make some cash quick haha
I have the 750D, still don't know anything else worth replacing it with besides the ROG swift (its QA problems notwithstanding). Such a good monitor, glossy, good colors, TN pros for gaming purposes.
Im forcing myself to get a Gsync monitor next, more models just need to happen.
So blast from the past, 2007~

Been using this monitor on and off as a second display for random stuff, my main is a Samsung S23A700D, and the Dell just looks weird. I'm wondering if...
Yooo so the EW2740L is only 280~$ on Amazon, seems like a lot less than I remember.
How it does it compare to the "best" 24" BenQ VW2430WH
Anything new out there that changes the above statements?
Also how do both scale non 1080p content?
Lastly, is this good for auto/easy calibration of...

I wonder if there are PQ related improvements, or if it's just a respin of an older model.
Can't wait to find out! :D
Thanks for the heads up on the EW2440L. I'll be sure to avoid it.
Sucks that the iiyama isn't easily available in NA...184$ shipping on Amazon... ;-;
What would we do without you NCX <3
I guess I'll keep trucking along with the S23A700D that I got two years ago after reading your review of...
Hmmm so the EW2740L is super solid (although I so wish they would come out with a Gsync variant of it, even still at 60hz max.
What are the better smaller options, I'm on a 23" now so something around that size would be cool.
Thanks for all the invaluable info NCX, you're great and the reason why I bought my Samsung S23A700D in Summer of 2012! Been great so far for gaming and otherwise.
I'm mulling over getting a 1080p monitor that has non-TN colors/viewing angles and would do it for gaming, although I'm not sure...
