I was gonna buy the crossover but hearing the guys at overclockers talk about the nonsense of dealing with the korean vendors and dead pixels, I said screw it and just ordered the phillips. It may cost more, but the peace of mind is worth it.
Plus the Philips is actually coming from inside...
Went into Toys R Us today... they didn't have skyrim or d3. However, they did have Assassins Creed: Revelations and Batman: Arkham City. Sadly, neither of these games activate on steam.
Well, the only thing I can thing is that the passive adapter (DVI) is fucking with the active (VGA) adapters.
Edit: So I tried running D3DOverrider, and man oh man. I think I solved the problem. I'm not seeing any kind of tearing now.
I've got 3 dell 2209WAs, 1 (center) hooked up over DVI and the other two are hooked up over VGA with adapters (I have an eyefinity 6 card). In landscape I have no tearing issues, but in portrait I get TONS of tearing even with Vsync on. Is there any way to stop the tearing?
I've got three Dell 2209WA monitors. One of them has a small issue. It likes to blink until it's warmed up, and then it works just fine. The blinking only occurs for about 3 minutes. The other two work fine as long as I've used them.
These panels are capable of doing 76hz with a different driver...
Bump, with edit:
Edit: I've decided that I'm also willing to sell these. $200 + shipping for the two that work fantastic, $100 + shipping for the one that blinks. Take 'em at this price and I'll throw in the VGA adapters for an eyefinity card.
No scrolling. Like, the picture goes out for a split second and then cuts out. There's a small buzzing noise made, and this continues for a minute or two until the monitor warms up. After the monitor is warm, there's no issue. It only happens when the monitor comes from a cold power-on (after...
Except for the fact that these monitors didn't even ship with a service tag. Oh well, time to go through hell tomorrow. I figure if I get it replaced, someone might want to actually trade.
They're actually over VGA. however, the pass through single link adapter works just fine. it's just that the VGA adapters don't push that resolution fully.
Anyone know of a way to get 76hz mode working right on the active minidisplayport to vga adapters? the best I can get is 1440x1050 @76hz, and windows says it's outputting 1680x1050.
I've grown a bit bored with my eyefinity setup, so I've decided I want to go and change up to a single 27" or a 30" panel.
The model number of these monitors is 2209WA, and I have 3 of them. One of them has a small issue. It likes to blink until it's warmed up, and then it works just fine. The...
I've been reading up on this drive, and a lot of people say they have the same issue I have: random stability crashes and BSODs. The new firmware is supposed to fix this but I can't seem to figure out how to get the flasher to actually work. It says run in administrator mode, but it can't see...
