Not to mention this specifically says IN THE UK. It was already known it would release in the US by Christmas this year, that's just confirmation UK will get it too and not have a delay.
What is with these terrible news titles lately?
GW2 and TSW are both themepark games. This isn't about liking every game on earth. All I said was I don't see why liking darkfall would mean you can't also like themepark games.
I bought and played darkfall back when it released, as well as mortal online, although that game ended up being...
You know it's possible to like both kinds of games, right?
They are different experiences that offer different types of entertainment. I get that you prefer one over the other, but you might want to cool it on the rhetoric a bit. You will probably atract more people to DF without shitting all...
It's a good thing to mention that gear isn't a huge time investment I think you're right a lot of people don't understand that about full loot games.
Think of loot like skyrim loot, leather, fur, mail, plate armor, steel, iron, etc weapons. You can get decent enough gear prett easily there's...
My problem with TSW was the exact opposite. Other than the setting, they didn't do enough new.
There's "no classes" sure, but what that really means is there's 1 class. 1 set of mechanics: the wow rogue. Stand there and spam combo points and use finishers with laser beam homing attacks...
eve is a sandbox, and vastly different than almost every theme park mmo out there. GW2 never billed itself as anything like a sandbox and if you were expecting such you were ill-informed. As much as people say they want a sandbox game, there really doesn't seem to be much of a market for them...
Engineer also gets less weapon options than other classes, because they use their engineer kits instead. Just something to keep in mind before you jump into an engi.
Well, I wouldn't expect an objective opinion from the thread about GW2, but I would say its pretty obvious there is a lot more content.
D3 is a single 10-15 hour campaign you play over and over. GW2 is a full mmo with lots of very large zones all with unique activities, events, tradeskills...
You're the one who said every other mmo has phone support, then you ask how other games are relevant? I can find no credible evidence that TSW has it, and let's be real here you know why I brought up TSW you go out of your way daily to bash GW2 in favor of TSW.

Not shown there, can't find that number anywhere i see on google.Keep the crusade alive buddy, the 200k total sales and 50% layoffs at funcom are certainly a sign that they have created a superior product...
Is framerate in WvW severely CPU limited or is it just me? When a whole bunch of people get on screen, my gpu is under like 50% load and changing graphics options from lowest to highest doesn't even change the performance. Really the only problem I'm having with the game so far.
One thing I have noticed personally, is when framerates drop because of 50 people on screen and spell effects flying everywhere, it still feels smooth. I can be at 25 fps and it's not choppy like I would expect. I would hope that they increase the performance over time, but it hasn't really...
I might hold off on the lifetime sub right now if i were you. Might not really get your money's worth if continued development keeps getting delayed and/or the whole game goes belly up (they just laid off 50% of their staff).

"Issue 2" patch has been pushed back to Sept. 11. Not sure if its a result of the layoffs or not, but thought I'd post it here since I haven't seen it mentioned.
Not that it matters, but just for the sake of semantics: profesions in GW2 are th character classes. The corollary to wow professions would be crafting skills.
But I'm not aware of a particular crafting that gives an advantage in pvp like the old gnomish death ray and stuff used to be, its...
The short answer is yes. The whole dynamic event systm is basically designed around exploring, since you have no quest log with a tracker, you just have to explore until you come to a new event or event chain.
Tehre are also lots of little easter eggs around, from what i have seen in videos...
Perfect for us here in Tampa Bay, as it is now we should just get a bunch of wind and rain, perfect weather to stay in and play GW2 all weekend.
I feel for you up there though, obviously a hurricane is never something to mess around with.
Wasn't Gamefly doing a 20% off th eother day too? It hoguht they had it with the headstart for 48 with a storewide promo code or something.

Not sure if thats still working or not though.
I think the statistics speak for themselves though. It's like 10% of WoW players who ever even raided. Maybe 1% who were very hardcore about it. Why design the game around that feature when so few people playing your game even see it? If you want hardcore raiding then GW2 is undoubtedly not for...
This is not how it worked when they first implemented it in closed beta (which I was in). If they have changed it since then, so be it, but that wasn't the case in the past. Unless you mean that it avoids GTAoE, that's obvious if you get out of the way of the ground target area then you don't...
No you can't. The dodge in TSW does not cause invulnerability. There are also no physical projectiles in TSW so the homing bullets will hit you no matter what once you are targeted and the attack is made. The dodge in TSW only moves you out of range and out of AOE effects, it does not prevent...
From what I have heard recently, the idea of no gear progression is not quite as straight forward as many seem to thik.
There are still gear qualities, and the highest quality gear stil has the best stats. So, you will need to do dungeons/PVP/whatever enough to reach the max stat gear. That...
The y580 apparently weighs 5.95 lbs according to the specs.
I haven't put it ont he scale myslef, but I guess that should be about right, it's not too bad to carry around.
Weakest part of the Y580 is the 5400 RPM HDD.
I got mine on sale for like 1059 shipped, and bought a 256 GB SSD to...
I just got the y580 myself.
I looked at both your other options, would have loved to get the Asus but didn't want to settle for the DDR3 version of the GT 650m it comes with, which is substantially slower than the 660m or the 650m GDDR5. If you don't intend to do much gaming on it the DDR3...
There's also TSW, which has been out for about a month with mixed reviews and seemingly small community. GW2 and MoP might be a 1-2 punch that just puts that game down pretty fast at this rate.
Lenovo ideapad y580 has prety much all of that for 1100.

1100 gets you 1080p, GTX...
You can pretty much play most of it solo. You don't really need to physically "group" for dynamic events. You can run up to the event and other people will be there doing it. You just start doing the objectives too and everyone gets credit. So in essence you're playing co-op and solo at the same...
