Unfortunately, this is probably true. The UK is usually on the forefront of removing rights and mass spying on citizens. It just takes time for it to spread to other countries.
According to this website the lenovo tablet comes with "inbuilt" maps. Does it really come with a GPS program + a GPS chip, or just the GPS chip? I figured it was the latter and you would have to purchase a program from the app store that allows maps to be saved to the device.
Is it cheaper to build a basic budget computer (say around $400 give or take $50 for everything, including Windows; also, no access to a microcenter or frys) or purchase one from a company like dell/hp? The computer in question would be for checking email, browsing, and running solitaire...
After seeing a Noctua NH-U12P SE2 inside an Antec nsk3480 (here) on silentpcreview, I decided to purchase one. It also includes the Noctua NT-H1 thermal compound you two recommended so I needn't purchase a tube of paste separately.
I got it for just under $60 shipped at Directron (I clicked...
Hi,
I am looking for a decent heatsink w/ fan for an i5-2300 since it will be in a fairly small case.
Here are the other components that will be in the case and may possibly restrict the size or get in the way of the heatsink:
- Antec nsk3480 [(L x W x H) 14.00" x 7.75" x 13.75"]
- Asus...

(2) It will be an EE program, but I went through the same program and did not do anything too complex in Matlab. They have some new quad core Xeons in the computer lab with 8GB of ram and Matlab so if she does have to run something intense it won't be a problem.
Thanks for the reply. I will take a closer look at the system you specced tomorrow morning (it's late here). I just wanted to pop in and mention which games will be played on this computer: age of empires 3 and occasionally runescape. I should have included this info in the original post.
First off, this will not be for me but for a sibling who is not really a power user. Small, quiet and fairly cool are the most important goals in this build. I have a preliminary build at the end of the post. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

Is there any truth to this? I figure most people go to the UK to see the castles and such and not the royals. I can't imagine the royals are on display anyway.
I'm not seeing how this argument is relates to this situation. When a military stops using swords and armor it's because of an advance in technology. Moving jobs from one country to another for cheaper labor is not.
To get rid of the transparent background for the open space do the following:
1) Type in %appdata% in the Windows search bar. Press enter.
2) Navigate to Mozilla->Firefox->Profiles->"randomnumbersandletters".default->chrome. There should be a file called "userChrome-example.css" in this...
Glad you got it working. I see what your problem was. You were trying to drag the button on the far left that contains all your bookmark toolbar items off instead of the icon in far right like you had first mentioned.
No, I did try it. It was the first thing I did after adding in the bookmark toolbar, and it worked just fine.. Maybe you're doing it wrong? ;)
Edit: Check it out here http://img854.imageshack.us/f/firefoximg.gif/
If you right click in the URL bar area you will see a menu with the option "Customize...". Click it. Now click on and drag the Bookmarks button from the bookmark toolbar to the customize box that pops up. The button should no longer be on the toolbar. Click "Done".
I'm not seeing a black background for the menubar (File, Edit, etc area), but I am seeing a transparent background (which still looks stupid imho).
But, if you want to change the menu bar background color do the following:
1) Type in $appdata% in the Windows search bar.
2) Navigate to...
The A8-3550 with 4 cores and HD 6550 at only 65W TDP looks very interesting since I could probably get by with integrated graphics with the games I play. I can't wait to see how these chips perform.
No we were not in WW2 in 1963, but we were still paying off the debt accumulated because of it. Nice try though. The reason our total debt level never really went down was the due to the same problem we have now: spending keeps/kept increasing.
I only had to take 9 hours of physics for my engineering degree but 3 hours of chemistry, 3 hours of life science, **15 hours of art/history**, 3 hours of philosophy, 3 hours of a social science, and a 3 hour communication class. The degree program was a total of 127 credit hours.
"When hovering over-links, URL displays at the bottom instead of the address bar"
I really hope the implementation of this is not like it is in Chrome. I hated when the Firefox beta removed the status bar and put the links in the address bar, but I hate Chrome's method even worse.
