If you live near a BJ's Wholesale Club and have a membership, they're selling these Lenovo Edge 2 hybrid laptops at only $499.99. I picked up a few of these for work and swapped the HDDs for SSDs, and they've been running great...

    Dell U2415 with 16:10 1920 x 1200 AH-IPS panel

I think he just got a bad/damaged display. I order two for a dual monitor setup and neither has any of the problems he claims to be experiencing.

    Dell U2415 with 16:10 1920 x 1200 AH-IPS panel

In case you missed it, I bought two of these for a dual monitor setup when they were on sale and posted my impressions earlier in the thread: http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1041179492&postcount=56. If you have questions that weren't addressed by my post feel free to ask.

    Dell U2415 with 16:10 1920 x 1200 AH-IPS panel

The U2415 stretches 16:9 inputs to fit the whole screen. I've already tested this by running a few PC games at 1920x1080 full screen. The monitor stretched the image to fit the screen rather than adding black bars. With that being said, you shouldn't have trouble with movies/TV shows. When I...

    Dell U2415 with 16:10 1920 x 1200 AH-IPS panel

I can confirm this is not a problem on the U2415. Nvidia set them to Limited (16-235) by default, but I was able to change to Full (0-255) through the Nvidia Control Panel.

    Dell U2415 with 16:10 1920 x 1200 AH-IPS panel

It's not aggressive at all. I haven't noticed any sparkling on whites or grays, which is something I used to notice on my previous monitor.

    Dell U2415 with 16:10 1920 x 1200 AH-IPS panel

For what it's worth, both of my U2415's have next to no corner glow, which is consistent with the TFT Central review. I can't say if all panels are this good or if I got lucky, but you could always buy one and return it if yours has severe corner glow.

    Dell U2415 with 16:10 1920 x 1200 AH-IPS panel

I haven't tried external sources as I have a dedicated home theater setup for my game consoles, Blu-ray, etc, but I can confirm that the monitor only supports 16:10, 4:3 and 5:4 aspect ratios - there is no support for 16:9. Here's a picture of the OSD: I tried changing my aspect ratio to...

    Dell U2415 with 16:10 1920 x 1200 AH-IPS panel

    1. There's no noticeable backlight bleed on either of my monitors. 2. The IPS glow is not that noticeable when viewing the monitor straight on, but becomes more noticeable when viewing from the side. However, unless you are looking at a pitch black, or nearly pitch black image (such as movie...

    Dell U2415 with 16:10 1920 x 1200 AH-IPS panel

I ordered two of these for a dual monitor setup and they just arrived today. If anyone has questions about the monitor I'd be more than happy to answer them.

    Dell 24" UltraSharp U2415 - 1920x1200 Monitor - $319.99

I haven't been able to find reviews of any kind, not even unboxing videos on YouTube. Dell seems to have launched it quietly - I didn't even know this monitor had launched in the US until I learned about this deal.

    Dell 24" UltraSharp U2415 - 1920x1200 Monitor - $319.99

They might be a little pricey but the color accuracy, viewing angles, height adjustable stand, horizontal/vertical rotation, and thin bezel (which make them great for dual monitor setups) are worth it. I game, design, code, and do photo and video editing, so a TN panel won't cut it, and I don't...
