Clonezilla-live will NOT work on the computer that I can't boot into. I have no ram that I can test on the failed computer.

Looks like "Easy Recovery Essentials" by Neosmart might do the job. Only problem is it's a tad pricy to use just once - $20. AND I am not absolutely sure it will fix my computer.
