I've had both and the few days i had the 3008wfp i always was leaning towards the 3007wfp. The lag between the two was definitely noticeable to me, not so much in gaming, but on the desktop. The 3007wfp always felt like i was on a CRT in terms of responsiveness.
The picture slightly leaned...
I am having this same issue with my 3007WFP-HC and XFX 5870.
I managed to swap out the monitor for another one as i am still within my 30day satisfaction period and the new monitor produces more of the green lines, but it overall a better built monitor ie(not so loose screen, frame is more...
I've had nothing but problems dealing with Techsunny! Horrible place to buy from. If you see this PSU there go elsewhere. I put my first order in that stated they had this PSU but in fact did not. Buyer beware!

Yeah, it does really sting when spending this much, but i'm hoping that all goes away when i start to use this new monitor.
Another reason that one would even think twice on buying a monitor now, is CES is just around the corner. Who knows what just around the corner and the prices may be...
I'm sure we all had those moments of spending! :D
Believe it or not, i haven't built a computer for 8years so this new rig i'm putting together is sort of justified. If this new rig lasts as long as my last one, then I believe it's money well spent!!!
I pulled the trigger on the last day of a sale on a Ultrasharp 3008wfp....wow even with discounts and my EPP I can't believe this monitor can go for this much!
I read all the reviews and comments here on this monitor and thanks goes out to 10e for helpful insight. The general consensus is that...
I followed those settings as well and i too have not noticed a difference when using a different .icc profile from the default installed.
Anyone care to share what exactly these profiles do?
I noticed the monitor came with a display port cable, so out of curiousity I connected this to my XFX 5870 and low and behold the input lag was decreased to the same level as the VGA input!!!
The difference is there and it is noticeable, at least for me. It is better than the DVI...
Yeah saw that sale as well. Dell is probably trying to clear out the remaining inventory for a possible new 27" replacement.
Are you going back to the 3007wfp?
Agree!
Get out now before it's too late and you spent several G's on the computer. Over a year from now all this gear will be worthless anyways!
If the 5770 is capable at playing your games now then get it and sell the 5870 while it is at a premium.
