Several days ago, the light style/theme sporadically stopped working around the forum if one isn't logged in. Some subforums apply it, some do not; I haven't checked all of them (I can make a list, if that helps you), but for example, the front page is dark, while this Help & Feedback subforum...

The price would have been great at 200€. Unfortunately, it's 280-320€ ($310-$350), and that's seriously way, waaaay too much. I'm gonna have to wait for a year until prices drop down to a reasonable amount.

What happened to software support? Almost every software package for my motherboard (Z87 Pro) is well over a year old. Basically nothing was released in 2014. Just some BIOS updates.

OK, so there's BIOS 2005, with "improve system performance". What does it mean? Likewise for 1802 and "improve system stability". I'm still on 1602 (and I'm still getting drive spinup on shutdown + occasional BSOD on shutdown). Should I update?

I came home to a BSOD that happened on shutdown (left early in the morning in a hurry, so I didn't check). It happens about once per week. Have the new Intel RSTs or the new BIOSes fixed that? Speaking of RST, doesn't one of the newer versions include a new BIOS block, and if it does, when can...

1707...? Ugh. You know, ten years ago we'd get giant changelogs for BIOS updates... You could easily see exactly what's changed and if you want to flash or not. But now - if you don't know what's new, then it's playing lottery (and it gets even worse, because a BIOS these days has a billion...

Intel RST 12.9 is out (and has actually been out for two weeks). Haven't yet tried it, but I will later. I wonder if it'll solve the occasional BSOD-on-shutdown issue. Spinup-on-shutdown is something that will probably get fixed after my drives die :/

If I uninstall RST, what's going to happen? I know I had a functional mirror after a fresh Windows install, but I'd really like to be able to set caching options, and I think the SSD also wouldn't mind having a fresh RST driver.

In the last 13 years, since assembling my first array, I've had two occasions where RAID-1 saved my ass. One drive goes, the data stays intact. I know it's not backup, but it's a major difference between "well, your last backup was six hours ago and you also didn't commit to source control...
