I finally bought the BL2710PT too ! Looks great, no backlight bleeding.
Still testing settings, but I've again lowered the brightness at brightness:11 contrast:62 and RGB 84,76,83 at the moment.
In general it looks good, and for some reason, the surprise is that it's much softer on the eyes...
I'm not sure whether it's a general preference, or something i resorted to for Dell U2410. I think i've lowered the settings steadily during the years using this specific monitor, now it just tires me out... hence the need to change it.
I was checking your comments:
Unfortunately PRAD's...
... that or Alzheimer's disease :P
Nah, i remember your answer (and thank you for that). Like i said, i can't return either, so i'll be stuck with the one i buy, that's why the extra question. So i read today about the "filter patterns" & "ScreenManager Pro" on the official eizo page, along...
I don't game either. My only criterion is ease on the eyes, working with MS word, browsing (not games, not movies, not color critical work).
If i could see them up close, i'd decide in a heartbeat, but there's not such an option, neither trying & returing them.
I dont really mind the small...
Was checking the official info

Wondering whether paper mode works only with documents (PDFs), or with browsers, MS office, other text editors, etc?
Not sure how these "filter patterns" affect viewing either...
I'm still torn between...
Could someone please post some more information about the "PAPER MODE" of the EV2736.
Wondering if "paper mode" makes any difference, worth paying for the EV2736 if working with M$office applications ? Is it just catchy advertising or does it resemble Kindle Paperwhite in any sense (sure...
Reading other threads has now confused me more... eg http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1786302
This is my final question, going to buy a new monitor next week.
I don't care about size any more... (have a 24"U2410, have abandoned the idea of 30").
Considering only ease on the eyes (M$office...
I'm just about to pull the trigger on VP2770, but I was wondering, is there a more economical 24" model by Viewsonic comparable to VP2770 quality wise ?

There are reports saying so. Try checking the relevant threads:
Not sure if they are changing panels for 2713HM or it's the still the lottery (getting a good panel) 'cause of quality control issues.
Same goes for U3014, they've fixed the scan line problem in A3, not much info about...
Have delayed the buy of a new monitor for a year. I've been so close to pull the trigger for VP2770 so many times... Still, will wait for the complete review though!
The thing is, eventually Dell will get both 2713HM and U3014 right, probably by Christmas time, and then will be even more...
Nice review, S27C750P sounds great (now i'm more confused which one to get).
Personally i was hoping to read some more on S27C750P vs VP2770 info (there're only a couple references, regarding uniformity & temperature) since i've read your review/posts about the latter and know how you feel...
I've read reviews and NCX's comments, but could you please explain in more detail the different experience using these two monitors (i'm still between VP2770, 2713HM and U3014, considering Dell's later revisions). Personally i'd love to hear about text clarity, ease on the eyes, etc (not gaming)
