I just installed the 520HX and it too is virtually silent! I can't believe I'm excited over a power supply!!! :)

I just upgraded my psu from a stock HP to the Corsair 520HX . I have a 6600 quad core processor with two sata 320 hardrives, 2 sata dvd writers and an ati radeon 1300pro card soon to be upgraded. I work with video editing , not much of a gamer. It is Extremely quiet and I would recommend it...

I still stand firm, I have no noise issues and my hearing is good. I I do not doubt others may have a problem but there are those of us who have none. I noticed JMD is from Florida...I too am in Fl. Could we have been fortunate to get the "better" shipment?

If you go to the "DISPLAY" category and look under the thread Gateway FPD2485W you will see comparisons. I have the above Gateway monitor and am very pleased with it! Lots of reading...both sides have Pros and Cons.
