I had the same card and same zero whine issues.. I "traded up" to the same version but 4090 and also zero whine.. and these cards have some of the fewest power phases of the 4080 (16+3) / 4090 (20+3) variants..
not 100% sure but when I jumped on nexus lots of the mods said they were compatible with the new patch..
Speaking of.. are there mods I should be running on my vanilla install?
Alright thanks. I'll start with ME1 then. Feels like a big time investment but maybe it's that next game that I really get lost in.. seems like it has a lot of potential for that.. I see the legendary edition is on EA play too - I can at least take it for a spin for 6 bucks! Thanks again!
I have to admit I never played any of the mass effect games.. I need to get on that because people keep saying how good they are.. Can I just start at ME2 or should I play all three in a row? New Vegas is my favorite fallout game for sure. They should be refreshing that vs FAO4 jeez.
Apex...
Ha! Thanks for the assist. Also you can own a shop now in Hogsmead, which was another console only locked thing.
This YT video had a good rundown of the patch updates:

Apparently there's a haunted hogsmead passageway quest which was locked to PS5 only previously and is now available to PC with this update. Supposed to be a very fun quest.

Doom 3 BFG Lost Misson. Added RBDoom-3-BFG and a HD texture pack… everything is really shiny now but it’s way better than stock. Having a blast with it.
I have a bunch of old winamp installers from like 97 and 98 and stuff. Was my daily driver for a long while. ...and one of the best things about winamp was Milk Drop and Acid Spunk.
