I'm into simracing. Currently using fanatec csl dd wheel with clubsport 3.5 pedals mounted on a playseat challenge rig. Great thing about the rig is I just fold it up and put it in the corner when not using it. I'm into grand prix legends and old...
Eh, 14600K or KF are THE sensible choice from Intel, IMO. Power usage while gaming isn't crazy (and actually better than 13600k), price is reasonable. Can run them on an average board without issue. Very potent for gaming and would max out your...
Well a prime example is the 5800x3d and 7800x3d, game performance is either identical or slightly better with SMT off.
It’s likely only going to get better with it off as time goes by.
I like the idea of no HT on a P-core. Less power ,heat and more streamlined architecturally. Will be interesting to see how gaming performance is affected by the changes.
Same TDP and same node (TSMC N4P), though I read it could be using N4X which has an efficiency bump over N4P. The clock speeds are higher, though, so I'd still expect thermals to be similar.
No. I'd expect them in around 6 months.
Hmm been Intel HEDT the past 10 years but maybe a 9900X might be a nice change...
A 9700X would do but I like to run my machines for 8 years at a time now.
If they come out in July I'll wait till November-December for some bug fixing to take...
UI in this game, both visually and control wise, is some of the worst I've ever used in a video game. The simplest things are often impossible to find or are bound to two functions at once.
And nothing is explained, or logical in anyway. Editing...
Actually, it does model flight. With mods to speed up the flight speed of the ships, you can actually fly around within a star system. The limitation is that you can't actually approach a planet and fly through its atmosphere, land etc. The...
By the time I quit I had beaten the campaign 8 times and gone through Unity around 40 times. And I barely touched the builder lol, I just copied other people's build guides.
Crazy game.
Lotta folks say the xfx cards are loud but mine's the quietest thing in the PC and it's a water cooled GPU. I'm old and a bit deaf tho so there's that too. I truly enjoy gaming with it since moving it to water cooling. I've cut the power down to...
Move all the fans to the front side of the case and screw them from inside. May require a bit of fudging the front panel but I just did mine that way to accommodate a giant 3070 into a mid size case.
Oh yes. So much ancient history that doesn’t do anything useful anymore. But it also means that we understand what the automatics are doing now and can adjust / troubleshoot too
