Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI
Apparently the CPU_FAN connector is a standard PWM four pin controller which the BIOS does an okay job of controlling. However, the SYS_FAN connector just applies +5V to the PWM pin causing the PWM case fans to run at 100%. Even then the BIOS seems to do squat about...
Wow, this thread is still going! I started this over three years ago now. I am currently in the process of selling that original case though.
I have a new love.
Maybe they're trying to appeal to us girl gamers...

Definitely wouldn't hit that. That helmet has stripes like Herby the Love Bug. I really hope that isn't a spoof or something.
Sadly... I'll never buy another Vantec product.
I bought the Vantec Nexus NXP-101. Really spiffy. Except for a WIRING problem. They wired the cable that goes from the controller to the fan wrong. So when I turned it on, my Tornado spun up... but it was actually injecting 12 volts into the...
Mustard Gas is easily removed by peeing on a towel and breathing through it. So in effect, I could pee my pants and stick my head up my ass to protect from the fumes? :p
To be honest, I never really thought about it and just blew my nose to rid the fumes from my sense of smell.
You know it is time to upgrade when you accidently overclock your Classic Radeon's 100 some mhz core to 550mhz. :D PppzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZPOOF.
Get a Radeon 9600 Pro or XT. Runs Farcry perfectly and beautifully. ;)
Looks like its made by the people who made this case:

Which I still haven't figured out who.
There was a Llama wandering down the street yesterday... nothing out of the ordinary.
Putting together a naked computer... just need a place to put it.
Don't have that problem as bad anymore. Live an area that breeding grounds for lady bugs. When the air conditioner is in, they slip in and lay eggs in the house and BAM! You wake up one morning to see the ceiling to see it swarming with them. Really fun to grab the vacuum and just suck them...
Mmm, that is some nice wire management! Kind of annoying with the required power connection to the video card though. Might be able to route it towards the expansion slot covers, under the motherboard and up to the PSU.
(Sorry about PMs, supposed to email when I get a PM and it never does...
I had someone here on the forums accuse me of just doing a premod before.
I started out my first with completely modding a VCR case to accept a computer. Granted, it wasn't an original idea, but it was one hell of a project.
My second mod was Tennyoko v.2. Lian-Li PC-75B(With the...
That third hard drive is actually the fourth in the rack and I have a fifth waiting to be installed. (I'm in a desperate need of power splitters and a new PSU.)
I am planning on modifying the fan grills, just not enough time today.
I was reading a review on the Lian-Li PC-76 server case and it suggested flipping the PSU mounting bracket to allow better airflow with PSUs that fans on the bottom. This really isn't an issue on my PC-75 since the bottom of the PSU cage is ventillated. The thing that was bugging me was the...
The grill on the PSU fan is maybe 1mm away from the grill on the PSU bay. Still plenty of space though.
PC-75B by the way. Its the PC-71 in black with a window.
That is some of the cleanest hard drive brackets I have seen. Would be nicer if they were solid to the case. Would be a problem to take out the motherboard where they are located though.
