One of many reasons why I personally dislike curved monitors,the kind of seem to be like a space shuttle with regards to design, build and performance in the long run. Ironically Samsung didn't seem to feel their UW OLEDs needed the same curve even though they as panels seem to be much better...

To me it seems obvious that these large curved monitors have a "challenging design" as it seems like the number of reports about broken units is way higher than normal, especially considering that the price would probably exclude many potential buyers. The Neo G9 57" AFAIK is also two panels...

From the ones I tried I saw no indication of there being any hardware changes so it would be mostly people that cant see it claiming it does not exist. Like people claiming that their QDOLEDs dont have raised blacks in a bright room.

Well, in short, nothing has really changed. Having benchmarked it against both the 32" QDOLEDs and the Neo G9 57" and sent back both despite them being really good should tell you that I am quite happy with the QN900C as a PC monitor. The idea of going back to multi monitor setup seems unlikely...

I've tried 3 so far and all of them had some kind of problems (dead pixels, busted threads for screws etc). If it had been glossy I might have have given it a chance more.

AFAIK, the lack of polarizer is to get some more brightness out of the the QDOLEDs rather than improving viewing angles (which in most cases is not a problem on any OLEDs). Traiding poor blacks for a marginal increase in viewing angles seems like a bad tradeoff.

Yes, Tahoma or even the original MS Sans Serif is what I use when doing productivity on OLEDs. Never understood why people insisted on using fonts made for ClearType for a display not suited for ClearType.

When I tried it out, I got the feeling Multi View was more along the lines of "watch the news and a YT exercise video at the same time". Ie things that might feel impressive to more normal people not discussing TVs online in their spare time :)

One input should be enough for multi view, even though it perhaps makes it a bit pointless :)

I think it is more "mode jumping" unlike the OLEDs which just change processing. Kind of like the 240 hz switch on the Neo G9s. Changes dithering, FALD etc. Since game mode is needed for both actual gaming and for 4:4:4, I found it easier just to always be in that mode (or perhaps wire up...

Enabling/disabling game mode has some other side effects though, kind of like when you plug in a new monitor. Ie not something you want to do to often in the fly.

From what I can recall, for the QN900, you also have to be in game mode for 4:4:4 to work as weird as that might sound, which would basically mean that you would always be in game mode if used as a PC monitor. Which is a bit sad if you actually want to use it as a TV, at least assuming content...

Can you actually get it to work with a PC in Game mode? At least I never have with the QN900C, only way is to disable game mode.

Thanks. I though that the input lag problem of Window gaming had been if not solved at least greatly improved these days? Perhaps not something for a CS GO pro but for most normal gaming.

Is windowed gaming really that bad these days though? Not done it i many years so it is more a feeling from what I have heard and it also seem to be a built in option more these days so you don't have to use "hacks" for it.

Watching the World Cup now and watched some NHL before that on my G3 and even as a brightness junkie, I don't really feel I lack brightness and there is no obvious dimming either. Even noticed that brightness was only at 90%. But of course, everything is relative.

Since this has basically turned into a software thread recently anyway, is there a way to override the location of the quick launch / clock etc in Windows? You can center application icons but not the quick start one (or whatever they are called) which means they are VERY far away on a 8K 65" :)

As I recall it, Multi View (Samsungs PIP/PBP) did not work with PC in game mode (needed for 4:4;4) which kind of made it useless for anything but video/TV.
