Bump.
How you getting on with the client?
What is it you need to do in order to get the client updated?
Would it be possible to get the latest version - Version 7.4.36
Hey guys, me again - It's time the two naked rigs without gpus get chucked in cases, anyone know of any new cases that these mobos can fit in? The 4P case is US only, and many of the old suggestions are discontinued cases.
We've begun a beta test project for this concept - if it works, an alternative cryptocurrency (bitcoin/litecoin/other) project may be created.

So do pools, there should be a massive coordinated attempt to move towards p2pool instead of these massive pools that threaten the decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies.
I still don't really see the benefit that x11 has over scrypt, it seems to only benefit the gpu miners.
Users of a cryptocurrency don't really care how it's mined, as long as it's usable.
If you're worried about your gpus being left in the dust due to scrypt asics, why not put them to use on...
Hey,
Cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin have run into a serious issue as of late.
The issue is that the majority of full/super nodes (nodes that provide the backbone bandwidth for the network) are mis-configured and or are not the latest version of the client (version fragmentation, leading to...
I was under the impression this was a distributed computing section of your forum, but I understand that the cryptocurrency section is more suitable. I brought it up in here because someone brought up einsteinium.
Yeah, it does require you to join the gridcoin team that's true.
The value of gridcoin is not always going to stay at it's current low value, just like bitcoin/any other crypto it'll fluctuate in value.
The fact that it goes to the user intead of the project it a good point, however a...

Looks like you can get a way higher density with the xeon blades than the opteron blades.. I'd love to have one of these.
Anyone have any information on these xeon phi coprocessors? Are...
More suitable than einsteinium is gridcoin.
It rewards users for their contribution to boinc, this will hopefully drive a serious amount of computing power towards boinc.

Hey,
I've been looking into the highest density systems to point at boinc and came across cray supercomputers. How would these computers perform on boinc?
http://www.cray.com/products/computing/...
As of lately approx £15,000 and pointing it all 100% at gridcoin. Made nothing on gridcoin yet because i'm performing beta testing, but in the past i've made back what I spend btc wise.. so thats cool lol..
Would be very interested in buying them, but i'm unfortunately in the uk : ( Best of luck selling them : )
edit: 100% no chance you'll ship them both to the uk? I'd cover the cost of the import/shipping..
Asics are extremely expensive to manufacture, and you have to do it on a massive scale. We could be recieving 50% of the asics they'll manufacture and paying for all the expenses, essentially they'll keep 50% of them for their datacentre and become a huge mining corp.
Well, how about a semi-break from btc/ltc and a return to boinc mixed in with ltc?

I've just got several 4P setups for this. Bring on the summer heat! D: <
How did you cable them up?
3 on one, 3 on the other?
I just had issues with trying to get 6*usb riser cables working - only 2 of the gpus would power on :S
I've moved to gridcoin (www.reddit.com/r/gridcoin) it's a mix of both boinc and scrpyt; you can feel good about helping cure cancer/disease whilst earning money :)
Hey,
I'm interested in purchasing the following items:

I'd be very interested in a newer version being developed, specifically the following updates interest me:
Version 7.2.38
Fix: Various CPU and GPU scheduling issues.
Version 7.2.34
released: 3 December 2013
New: Sub second CPU throttling. (All Platforms)
Fix: Fix several issues with...
If you're looking to get rewarded for boinc computations you should look towards gridcoin, a cryptocurrency that rewards users for their boinc contributions.

Bought a couple of these, and a few packs of the single heatsinks.
I've built the rig and am now looking into operating systems to install. I'll post a video of the rig when it's up and running :)
edit:
I've run into an issue: There's a constant tone being emitted by the motherboard; this isn't...
Can't wait to see how fast these crunch boinc tasks!
You should definetley check out gridcoin - get rewarded for your boinc contributions; t'is why i'm getting into boinc. That and geek cred for running supercomputers.
Think something along the lines of this will work for cooling the vrms?
