I only had one playthrough on release and never touched any of the DLC, saw that CDkeys has the GOTY edition for <$10 so I decided to hop in for another go nearly 10 years later. Not sure what this update was supposed to improve upon but thus far I'm seeing none of it, still a buggy mess, maybe...
That female bartender with the Johnny Cash voice in Hogwarts slapped the immersion right out of my mouth. Can’t think of a better example.
Plus wasn’t that voiceover only in the NA release?
My preference for a melee only build is to focus on strength, endurance, and vigor, and to use a weapon that does high poise damage. My favorite early game weapon for this is the lordsworn greatsword, which you can get immediately. Grab a 100% physical damage negation shield and focus on guard...
Noticed this on sale for $35 on Steam so I decided to pick it up. I’ve only played for about 2 hours so far but I’m really liking it! It runs and looks fantastic, can’t wait to check it out on my oled. How is the HDR implementation?
I’ve been playing like crazy in preparation for the DLC. I have a NG character on a mostly completionist run, map totally cleared out, and a NG+7 character around level 350 with two of every weapon, every spell, incantation, piece of armor etc. Going to play the DLC with the NG character first...
Though the combat was simplistic I didn't mind it, my problem with it was the puzzles, particularly the ones where you have to walk around trying to find an outline of something in trees and buildings or whatever, hated those.
Welp, the second boss took me probably 30 tries, I just could not for the life of me dodge or get away from his attacks most of the time. After that fight I was creeping up on the two hour mark but decided to push forward and try out the new abilities I unlocked, namely parry and riposte, to...
That’s about the only type of game I look forward to any more. I’m bored senseless with Horizon FW.
Anyway I think I’m going to give this a go tonight.
Nine women can't make a baby in a month? Psh, who says you have to be a woman to make a baby?
Seriously though this is all quite disappointing. I was really looking forward to this and fully expected it to have all the polish of the Ori titles. I broke my no early access rule when I bought...
I thought that might've not been the best example, it's been years, but you're still advancing your playstyle by simply playing the way you care too, we need more of that.
And yeah, the foliage absolutely slapped in KC:D.
A lot of people just couldn’t get over the combat system, which is quite unique. At the start you (your character) sucks at it, but as you play the game you get better, and it feels less and less clunky as you progress.
I wish more RPG’s had leveling systems where your stat improvement comes...
Have you all heard of this DS3 Archthrones mod? Apparently it's a complete overhaul and requires both DLC. More info and link to vids here: https://archthrones.com/
There's a demo available on Nexus, might give it a shot tomorrow.
I’m only a few hours in but the game is running great on both my desktop and laptop. Decided to play this one with the dual sense, though I find aiming with a pad pretty awkward compared to a mouse the time slowing mechanic seems to negate that well.
Is there any benefit to playing on harder...
Must be what’s happening, but I’ve thrown every modern game you can think of at this laptop, this only happens in this game and only during deployment, once I’m in it’s fine.
It's such a great idea to make the character creator available before release. I rarely spend any time in them as I just want to get into the game, might actually play with this one a bit. Saw some hilarious ones on fb too, will definitely post if I come across them again.
Content? Minimal. Particularly if you’re not into base/ship building.
Stability? Eh, better than previous Bethesda titles but that’s not saying much.
Personally I could only squeeze about 60 hours out of it and only really enjoyed maybe half of that, and I have hundreds of hours in FO3/NV &...
