Fingers crossed, running the game kinda gimped atm with all sort of workarounds but yeah that's unrelated.
Did a few tests, overclocked, underclocked, voltage up, voltage down in CP2077, and monitored my temp, here are the pics, the game ran fine, fully maxed settings and the pic was while in...
I did not consider that when picking the PSU, this one was the best choice out of the bunch back then that was available sigh it only has 4 PCIe/cpu slots and one 12-pin. Even if I get 3rd cable all 4 are already used, I can disconnect 1 CPU to test but still not ideal to run like that, and yeah...
Yes, I tried one from march and this has been happening on various versions ever since june of last year. Now im trying to get new cable (16 pin to 2x8 pin) and see if that does something
Nothing :|
Not really, just had it in that situation when I noticed it.as for other apps just software for keyboard, mouse, gpu and think thats about it
Here's a rundown of everything I've tried before and recently, in no particular order. If anyone has any idea what else to try let me know. I plan to keep trying new games until I find enough where it happens consistently and then I can send it back because all the stress and benchmarks are...
Really couldn't find anything else, been searching for weeks. I'm picking it up in the morning, if it's too much I'll return in and just wait some more or save almost double the money for asus rog or pb one.
I need some help with picking the monitor. My requirements are ips, 1440p, 27". Can't get rog swift pb asus because they are either unavailable or too expensive here.
Thought about Korean one but the wait time, pretty much no warranty, no scaler etc just doesn't cut it for me right now.
So...
So I should get some good IPS 27" 1440p panel (that hopefully has scaler and use it for all my needs until I can get a good and cheaper 120/144hz secondary screen which I'll use mostly for my PC games, or when I do enough research about Korean monitors order one just for PC while I keep other...
Read up on and now I understand TN vs IPS which just makes it harder to chose. Picking one means sacrificing the other. It boils down to slower IPS with better colors, maybe 27" one with 1440p resolution versus faster 120/144hz monitor. Frame rate I'm not sure, I have a single 7970 at the moment...
I've spent whole night reading up on this and not any closer to figuring it out so I'm gonna write down what my use is and maybe someone can help me out.
I have old(2008) benq monitor that has served me well but I was always annoyed how washed out colors looked, now I'll just use it as...
Here's video of airflow now, what do you guys think? See how the bottom intake fan's cover has little curve toward gpu, think that's cool thing they did :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-p5UrMbKYzk
First of here are some pics and my ideas and you guys can tell if it's a good way to go:
hdd rack from other side: http://i.imgur.com/EsOH2ha.jpg
space between gpu and sound card: http://i.imgur.com/aqWExB4.jpg
potential fan place: http://i.imgur.com/ejddKue.jpg
Ok so I tried putting that fan...
I do not, going to open my case again, connect different fans, see where they go and what I can do.
I'm gonna turn them on now and see how it goes. They were making weird noises last time even after cleaning and oiling so I might replace them. Problem about left one is I think it will blow...
Well I just did OCCT test for half an hour and temperature was 90-95 degrees Celsius.. If that's not bad I don't know what is.
Also during CPU test my i5 3570k was under heavy load at ~70 temp, OCed from 3.4 to 3.8, is that a lot?
Here's pic of my case inside and from area where it's at. I know cables are mess but they're out of the way and ones inside I never look at and ones on outside I've been moving a lot so haven't gotten around to tidying up.
Fan on heatsink blowing toward exhaust one on the back, ones on top...
Nice about ek wb, I'm planning on getting another 7970 down the road so maybe I'll get that too but right now I need to make sure this is all ok. My CPU even with big heatsink and cooler was at like 60-70 at load (same time during game) so I don't know if that's a lot too. (i5 3750k).
My core...
I have a MSI 7970 Be edition which is overclocked from the get go, core clock 1050 memory clock 1375. I have a fan curve set up in MSI afterburner 1c=1% and while gaming, in this case Hitman Absolution fan and temperature were constantly around 80 degrees Celsius. 79-81.
Is this too high or...
I installed fresh windows 7 on new Samsung 840 pro SSD and it was running awesome, even after setting everything up boot time was veeery fast.. until I installed drivers for my Xonar DG card, boot takes over a minute, when I remove drivers it goes back to fast boot.
What I've tried is running...
I did it twice on this PC so few euros won't hurt. I actually asked for that one but they were out -____-.
As I'm not getting this in my own country, where you can't find !@#$ I'm trying to keep it all at 1 place so I, or some friend that is there, can easily pick it up for me...
Edit...
Sorry missed that, I won't be overclocking right away but down the road when I need more performance for games I will. This PC is OCed from 2.6 to 3.2, had it on 3.6 for a while but it was heating up more then I was comfortable with and not getting much performance boost at that time. Gonna try...
^ unfortunatelly I'm "go max or go home" kind of guy. Well I'm satisfied with "very high" instead of ultra but not much below that. One good thing is I'm playing games less and less so maybe eventually I won't even need to upgrade haha
Ok here's what I'm getting and here's what I have with...
I want to upgrade now because lately I feel my graphics card have been dying, fan started making noises, getting artifacts in games and causing PC to freeze so there's that.
Also thought about getting 240gb but it's a bit over my budget, I'll think about it if I can get it in somehow.
Ok so I'm ordering components for my PC today and just having some last minute thoughts or well doubts about it.
Here's what I'm getting, not gonna list specific brands:
i5 3570k - thought about 3770k but everyone told me no need, save money and if I need to upgrade do haswell later on
amd...
Ok so this is when artifacts started appearing:
(fan is at 100% despite that 40, I control it myself)
I removed side covers of case and they went away after a while, few came back but if I played for few more hours I'm afraid it would freeze. Haven't spent that much time playing today so...
Thanks, Ill try that today. Got a good case that can be easily opened, Gonna take it out now and clear air vents on it too.
P.s. just saw thread title, shouldn't make posts from ipad. Fixed errors in post too uhh
Edit: Ok, vacuumed around case, air vents on it etc, then I switched to air...
I have a big problem with my PC, it freezes.
I've been playing GW2 since it came out for very long periods per day and my PC started freezing. What happens is first I get some artifacts, only in game tho, they come and go then later at some point my PC just freezes. I hear music in the...
I left it all on auto and FSB on 400, voltage now is ~1.320 and currently running Real Temp's 10 minute test through prime95, I see temp going over 70 degrees celsius at some points. Maybe I should decrease it a bit? From what I saw it can run on less voltage but not sure what to put :/
And...
Hi guys, had this PC for 2 years and now I want to overclock it a bit.
I wasn't thinking anything crazy, maybe 3.2 or bit more that won't be too dangerous.
I've been running prime 95for 30 minutes and my temp(stock) is 60-65c. Is that too high?
I got heatsink and aftermarket cooler...
Channel 1, my phone isn't anywhere near to cause interference, and no clue about it's problem. Don't think it's interference, worked with wireless access point and other router hmm.
I should test it out with some other one but got none near where I can spend hours and hours testing.
But I will...
Up until recently I had wimax connection and d link wireless access point and it worked fine. But now I got ADSL and some Pirelli router. On my PC and PC in next room where laptop is it works fine, speed and all and there's no disconnect like on laptop.
It works for a while but then it suddenly...
^ installed 10.3 drivers btw.
There's no setup file that will install all ccc stuff it seems, theres bunch of them for different stuff hmm.
Edit: Ok Im gonna format and reinstall windows tonight... wish me luck
^ tried installing/uninstalling vc(both of them) several times.
I also tried manual install which didn't work but I just tried it again and it seems to kinda worked, now it says:
Digital provider: Ati Technologies Inc.
Date: 5/02/2010
Driver version: 8.710.3.0
Digital signer: Ati technologies...
^ I did try that, wrote it in first post and it didn't do a thing.
Also,
I tried cmd method again, both in safe mode and in normal.
In safe mode it says detection driver failed to load and then no components found, while in normal it says no ati components found oO
Seems like it's definitely...
I have, 1 reply telling me to reinstall vc++ and net framework, and I did but nothing happened.
And yeah, detection thing seems to be an issue since just before it offers me stuff in that picture it loads/searches for stuff, so for some reason it's not offering drivers/ccc, like it's not...
Quick update: I tried system restore and it didn't work. Well it brought me back but same thing happened there. CCC and drivers were installed but like they weren't. Ccc couldn't be ran and couldn't update drivers either.
Really considering reinstalling windows but I'd have to move...
I've been happily using 9.12 drivers&ccc but I saw 10.2 were out and decided to update... Bad decision.
I went to control panel and removed everything with ati catalyst install manager.
I restarted PC and tried to install new drivers(downloaded drivers+ccc pack from ati's website) but...
