Thanks. After I ordered the GPU I knew the right case for is would be the Torrent Compact. In order for everything to fit properly I decided to make my own cables. I got my crimper and all material from Titan Rig including the MDPC-X Classic Small Cable Sleeving, Brown-Carbon. With the right...
I just finished this build. I really wanted a Asus Noctua 3080 OC. By luck I was able to get one and with the Torrent Compact case I set out to make a clean build with no cable management issues.
It took a while to get the right components and make everything fit together. Here is what it looks...

Well after thinking about it I pulled the trigger and ordered the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW2 GAMING 08G-P4-6775-KR .
It had all the features I wanted and RGB lighting. I do plan to add the two 140mm fans in front so running those at 1000-1250 RPM should be fairly quiet and give...
For all the extra features that would be worth it to me. I have two choices One has iCX and the Silent one has ACX 3.0

I have been looking and wanted to go slightly higher than the black version that includes a backplate.
I saw this for $409.99 shipped after rebate. What do you think of this deal?

Thanks everyone so far for you input on this build. I went to Microcenter and Fry's Electronics yesterday and got the following. Newegg shipped the P.S. and Case.
New PC Build Paid...
I was just reading some reviews that thought either adding two more 120mm fans to the one installed or two 140mm fans did help keep the GPU cooler and worth adding in the build. I can go either way so just thought to get the two 140mm fans and be done with it.
Thanks Skillz
I wan to make it as quite as possible so I thought the 140mm fans would help. I am at ear level with the pc but it is off to the right side by two feet.
Thanks ReaperX22
Last question is fan size and placement in this case.
2 140mm fans or 3 120mm fans What brand and model number? This is for the front of the case.
1 120 mm fan in back
Any fans on top or bottom and what size, brand and model number.
This will always be air cooled and...
I am thinking of just getting a Fractal Design Meshify C - Dark TG case. It is small and will fit a CPU cooler up to 172mm so my bases would be covered if I upgraded the stock cooler at a later date.
Any thoughts on this case or is there a better one for air cooling only?
Thanks ReaperX22
Yes I only plan for one graphic card and the 4K monitor I posted above. The taxes at Microcenter kills a lot of deals so I have to find where I can gain a little bit.
Thanks Skillz
I am searching the deals right now .
The following are on sale at Microcenter plus another $30 off as a bundle and a extra $10.00 off the memory.
Asus ROG Strix x 470-f Gaming motherboard $149.99
Rysen 2700X CPU...
I am upgrading my build "I got my LianLi PC-A05B ! it's Small!" under edvb.
This is what is in it.

Hi Guys
It was cut by a CNC machine.
I should of made the window bigger but once in a while I take off the side to check things out and really like how everything fits inside.
I still hit all the forums but for the performance and size I still like what I built the best.
He would...
The one thing I hate is the little cover for the inputs.
The reason I went with mine is the lack of it and the easy way to rotate it 180 degrees so the fans are in the back.
If they made it without the cover I might get one to try out but for now the double 120mm fans look great and work...
I built a pretty nice i7 rig for our office and hopefully the DVI-D cable at 56' will work with my Sony 60" GWII.
I have a EVGA GTX275 Video card with two DVI-D outputs.
I have a MX-700 universal remote that I progam with my PC for everything including the PC to TV interface where the...

How it the build coming?
Speedwise I am up to 3.6 without any hickups at the same temps as before so things are improving everyday.
haadij404
The cleanest look would be to either paint or use the marker on the silver edges.
The case is unforgiving in that respect and any...
Or you can get the top cover like I did.
It depends on how much you want to save.
I was within $10.00 and I like the factory look on mine.
You just have to decide the look and function you are after.
Hey I got a blue LED ring on my vandal switch does that count?
The two switches were made for this case and is worth getting them.
The SSD is not too bad either.
haadij404
For what it is worth.
The mistique of the A05B is the size and basic design that will be hard to copy.
The B25 was one of the cases I looked at before getting the A05B.
You are a modder at heart so do what you feel is right.
For me and what I wanted to do I could not...
The insert have ridges so you just drill a size under and use a small washer and proper threaded bolt from the front to seat the insert.
I had to reseat all the ones for my case when I had it anodized black.
I will find out where to get some locally.
cyberkost
Look at the back of the case on the top left side of the slot covers.
You can see the round inserts where the slot covers are attached with the screws.
There are seven of them in a row going up and down.
cyberkost
You can get a few of the inserts used to hold your cards in. I am going to do the same but did not have time to complete it.
You drill a slightly smaller hole and they will press in.
It should work well and they are flush with the outside of the frame.
Well if you are going to mod it you might as well cut the hole in the bottom for the PS.
I am glad I did before the build as it will always nag you how much cooler would it of been with the hole.
With the filter I installed on the bottom and the foam weatherstripping on the inside of the...
Hi all
Well after using my PC I wanted to add another drive for backups and extra storage. I ended up getting a WD6401AALS with a Sythe Hard Disk Stabilizer 2 for my 5.25" bay.
I was able to mount the SSD right behind the fan controller and made it so it was one mount combining the fan...
You do know we covered that topic a few posts ago. Overall I still like my reversed twin 120mm setup the best. I got my Razer Sphex pads today and everything works well. Everything just fits the desk and is a lot of fun to use. I am glad everything is in place and works the way I hoped it would...
Burdoror
You are mad I tell you truly mad !
Thanks for the inspiration on mine. The black interior that I had anodized on mine just changes the look of the case completely. I went for minimal myself.
I really like your color combo. Kirk from Murdermods helped me out on my kit as I think...
Dark Sun
It is looking real nice. The black interior just changes the whole build doesn't it?
I am finishing getting the last few items for my build.
I returned my OCZ Sabre keyboard as I just did not like it and did not work for my application.
I studied some and got a Logitech...
Thanks
I figured since I got my Razer Mamba mouse I might as well finish it off with a set of Audioengine A5 speakers. I hope they sound as good as people say they do as I have not heard them.
I really like my twin 120mm setup without the I/O flip cover.
It just fits the case perfectly and gives it that balanced look.
It almost costs the same as getting a grill and is just so much sleeker.
It will flow more then a single 140mm fan
At 1440 rpm with the Typhoons it is almost silent...
OK
I changed the settings for my overclocking and redid Prime95 Combined.
How does everything look like now? I am new to overclocking and this PC is on 24/7.
Normal load at idle
Prime95 combined after 1/2 hour. Temp's are stable.
Thanks haadij404
I am running 24/7 with this rig and at 2.99 GHz I do not have to worry about any game I play on this machine at this setting. Longevity is key for me and I can lower the fan speeds to around 1440 RPM where it is very quiet and has a soothing sound.
I had it overclocked...
