Yeah, I just bought the case with the solid side panel and cut it open. I've never mounted Plexiglas on the outside of a case, so I thought I'd try it out with this one.
Mostly finished my build over the weekend. Still needs a fan controller and LEDs... cables will be rerouted a little when the fan controller gets setup.
The blog post is dated April 2009, back when they actually had about 200 million users. I know FB had some recent voting stuff, but why is this old blog post in today's news?

Hello,
I'm selling my Corsair Vengeance 1500 headset. These are USB, and they are Dolby 7.1 capable. I've only had this set for a couple of months, and I've really enjoyed them. The sound quality is fantastic, and they have really good bass response without sounding muddled. The 5.1...
I've come to like Corsair's attention to quality in their products, not to mention the variety of products they produce. I have yet to deal with they're customer support, but that's because they're products haven't given me any problems! :D
The G71 had the heat issues, not the G72. The G73/G74 have excellent cooling.
^ That Sager is not a bad deal at all, but the G74 will get you a bigger screen if you care.
Here's a list of all current mobile GPUs, roughly ranked in order of performance.

Asus G74 is a solid option.
Best Buy G74
I just sold my G72GX last week, and it could only play BC2 smoothly with a mix of medium/low...
I just got my system up and running with this Gigabyte 6950-OC 1GB.
Gigabyte 6950-OC on Newegg
I love it, the fans are very quiet and keep the card nice and cool. Keep in mind, they don't vent the air outside the case.
Also, if you really want to overclock, this card will really limit you...
Yeah, I threw my GameCom 377 headphones in there all the time. I put them on top of my books, and the flap that folds over kept them in place (all the straps are adjustable). That way they didn't get banged up on the bottom or sides.
Fully loaded that bag kept my laptop, power brick, MX518, ^...

Hello all,
Since I'm selling my laptop, I have no use for this messenger bag. I bought it new 2 years ago and used it for college. It is still in fantastic shape, no rips or scuffs. Very comfortable to wear, even when fully loaded.
This is a pretty large bag and holds my Asus G72...
It is on NBR, and OC.net. :D
To the other post, yeah, this laptop still surprises me with it's underdog power. Dirt 2/3 both play great, even GTA IV runs very smoothly.
Thanks for kind posts!
Sold the laptop. Making new thread for the NZXT.
Hello all,
I bought this laptop to use while I finished college, and now that I'm done I would like to move back to a desktop. So my Asus has to go!
The link below is to the original review I made of it when I bought it. Aside from a...
For overall quality, my clear favorite is Alienware. They are the only laptops I like to compare to Apple's build quality. They are also very powerful laptops and are a darn good value, IMO. Their M15x would be a good balance of size, power, and battery life...
3D vision is NOT like EyeFinity. That's NV Surround you're thinking of (3 monitor setup)
3D Vision is just that... 3D. One display + goofy glasses = 3D image.
On a related note, a single mobile GPU has no where near the power to push a game across three monitors at a respectable resolution...
The G73 would serve you well. The Best Buy model comes in around $1,200.

I would recommend a 17" screen. I love it.
If the G73 is out of reach for your budget, a used / refurbished G72 will still be a great performer. They can certainly be found for less than $1000.
I would also seriously recommend an M11x. I freaking love those things, tiny screen and all.
I'm perfectly okay with monitoring kids when they are at school. Additionally, they need to be told that the monitoring is possible. Disclosure is important, obviously.
We have the same system at Eastern WA University. Any lab PC can be monitoring by the instructor in the class. It's a...
Just a warning to all who want to try this update.
It may cause one or more of your games to break. The most commonly affected games are MW2 and Borderlands, but many others are at risk.
Basically, Steam thinks that you are missing game files, and deletes/updates random stuff trying to...
GPU-Z from Tech Power Up should work. Just check the box to show the MAX temp instead of CURRENT temp, leave it running and play some games for a bit.
Furmark is a good test though to find the absolute max temp your GPU will hit.
Well, you'd have to look in your BIOS to find out...
But, probably not. As far as I know the only Asus BIOS options for overclocking is turning Turbo Gear On/Off. There are no manual settings.
The speakers actually get really loud for a laptop, as there are 4 of them. But the sound quality is mediocre. There is almost no bass, and the midrange can sound muddy sometimes. But than again, show me a laptop that actually has quality sound...
For casual music and video, I think they are...
Option one. Larger screen and better resolution for ease of work (and better gaming). The better specs will help it hold up over time. You've got an i7 quad-core and 6GB of memory. It'll be good to go for a long time.
It's a great laptop. I actually just posted my review yesterday.

In short I'd say get it. It's build quality is a lot better than Gateway's P-79xx series, which is similar in price and performance. Plus, you can overclock the Asus.
