If I listen to music via Apple Music, the speaker sounds distorted at or near max volume. Is this normal? I'm pretty sure it happens with YouTube and other apps/things too.
I have a MacBook Pro 14" with the M3 Pro chip.
I tried downloading torrents to my exFAT formatted external HDD but the torrents would simply stall when launched or download at a very slow speed. Then I tried downloading to the internal 512 GB...
So, I got my AudioQuest Cinnamon USB-B to USB-C cable for free because Amazon was way past the delivery date and offered to do a refund. I got my refund but the cable was also delivered the day I got my refund. I contacted Amazon and they said...
I have been weary of the Sys order I did because I made the order on impulse (without any real research) once I found out I couldn't control the DAC's volume in macOS natively. I have been discussing the Sys on the ASR and Head-Fi forums. The...

However, I learned that some DACs do let...
So apparently all the Schiit DACs don't have a volume control on macOS, Windows, or Linux. You need to get an external preamp or hardware volume control to control the volume. Wish I had known about this before buying it.
Just received my Bifrost 2/64. Since I am still waiting for my AudioQuest Cinnamon USB-B to USB-C cable, I am temporarily using my printer's USB-B to USB-A cable. I have it connected to my MacBook Pro 14" running macOS Sonoma 14.4.1. I have a...
