    Arrow Lake 2024 (and beyond)

First time I've been interested in an Intel processor in a long time. I conclude it is best to see how Arrow Lake performs compared to Zen 5 X3D in my case. Plus how Intel will support future processors on their next platform. Going from Zen 3 to any new next generation processor should be a...

32 core Ryzen for Zen 6?

One Zen 5 VCache CCD and one 5c CCD would seem to bring the best of both worlds. Great gaming and also great productivity. Something I would invest in.

9950X and 9950X3D is going to be terrific.

So did AMD use the newer Intel settings for 14000 series or the motherboard toaster settings? I would recommend actual reviews on these processors. As for putting VCache on both two CCD processors, in many if not most multi-threaded applications there is a performance loss due to reduced...

X3D as well, 8 core first then 16+ as systems get built

Subscription Growth Has Flattened claims games industry analyst

Flat preluding to a potential drop. I’ve found one can rotate subscriptions, can Netflix go Disney for a while, can Disney and go with Hulu as examples. Plus having a lot of subscriptions becomes burdensome, hard to keep track what is what coming out of one’s account. If a charge is legit etc...

Jensen Huang Discussing the Future of AI and NVIDIA

1 million times faster? In what? Better up the memory some then. Anyways the interview was upbeat, thought Jensen smoke something as well. Like to know if Nvidia chips will be solely or mostly AI designed 👴, hardware being designed and simulated before being put out.

The Apple Vision Pro goes on sale in the US on February 2 for $3,499

I wonder how they hold up being dropped several times, rain soaked, freezes in subzero weather, hit by a ball, frisbee, fist etc. I want my terminator vision goggles!

The Apple Vision Pro goes on sale in the US on February 2 for $3,499

Watch about 1/2, that was enough hysteria of world doom. Same story, hyperbole, from ages past on new technologies. What ifs. Yes, a knife can be a vital tool in preparing food or can be used to slice and dice people, it is how it is used that makes the difference.

Pretty cool, will wait until software, OS, bugs and maybe next version Plus night vision, lidar, back view window on display. Maybe target, oops, mean tracking of objects.

NVIDIA rumored to be preparing GeForce RTX 4080/4070 SUPER cards

A good bump lower in price. Card is still over priced in the end

Naaa, just a bunch of rich kids getting one to hang on the wall to impress their girlfriends. Maybe never used. 😊

NVIDIA rumored to be preparing GeForce RTX 4080/4070 SUPER cards

4090 at 4K Native, Alan Wake, High Quality Preset, High Quality Ray tracing -> 28fps. I really don't think in the near or somewhat distant future low end and mid range GPUs will have double the performance of the 4090 (basically double the transistors or clock speed) to make PT that common even...

NVIDIA rumored to be preparing GeForce RTX 4080/4070 SUPER cards

I would think that was necessary in order to have better control over resources. Putting together, especially black box code, makes making optimize coordinated programs almost impossible.

NVIDIA rumored to be preparing GeForce RTX 4080/4070 SUPER cards

In my experience, RT is good when it has a significant impact on image representation, realism when needed and not degrade performance to point of affecting adversely the game play. Also when choosing what looks better, as in lower resolutions with RT on, maybe with lower other graphics...

NVIDIA rumored to be preparing GeForce RTX 4080/4070 SUPER cards

I would say any generalization misses the mark. Go by per game and then if RT even makes a meaningful difference in the IQ. Then the odds one will even care playing it. AW has software RT when PT is off and looks awesome in itself. PT in that title does add some more accuracy but is it ground...
