On one hand, I think that is pretty obvious given how they release these cards now. On the other hand...

Review scores are already back up to "Mixed" - glad people are reversing their negative reviews in light of what happened. The HD2 community seems to actually be pretty cohesive.

Plus the optics were absurdly awful from the start. Now you can't play the game you own and have been playing. Cya, you're fucked. It was such a screamingly obvious slow moving disaster. I don't know what they were thinking. I'm assuming the...

Also worth noting that a strong magnet moving across a hard drive is much more likely to cause problems. A static one, far less so.

Not saying the review bombing had no impact, but I'd bet that the unconditional refunds Steam was giving, as well as delisting the product in 100+ countries from sale entirely, had more to do with it. I hope the negative reviews get cleaned up...

Good call. At least make it worth someone's time to OPTIONALLY do so (free super credits or some sort of incentive), rather than just forcing it on everyone and screwing over 100-ish countries who can't even normally get a PSN account.

Looks like Sony decided to back down: https://twitter.com/PlayStation/status/1787331667616829929

Seems less profitable when people refund your game, whether because they are pissed off at your decision, or they can no longer okay it due to regional restrictions.

And there it is, the brain dead “politics in my games” argument. Most art is political in some form or another because it is an expression of the artist/artists involved in creating it. Your issue with it is entirely stated in your post: You...

I am once again, asking you to get your eyes checked. Cherry picking a photo here and there any then complaining about it is stupid. It's a completely normal, very attractive face.

I think the tone is fine - from what I heard, people were just bitching on Discord, where it's going to make zero difference. Also, this is a Sony decision, not Arrowhead, they did not want this to happen by all accounts.

Not to mention that apparently in some countries, you can't even create a PSN account. So I guess those people are just fucked?

Dumb move, clearly the game works without it so why force it now?

I doubt it. There are people struggling to sell their 4090 for very long periods of time. No one is buying 4090s anymore. They have already quietly deprecated behind the scenes. Maybe some Asus fan boys will still pay too dollars for the ROG...

They are not called "Ngreedia for nothing". I am not surprised by their crazy pricing anymore. Watch them sell the 5090 for $2500 and say well it's faster than the 4090 and "inflation". Big wallet epeen buyers will still buy it. And then...

Here we go again. $2500 rumors so when it releases at only $1999 MSRP everyone will be so relieved and impulse buy.

I'm actually upgrading my work computer to it now. Gonna have to learn it, might as well be familiar with it before we have to start transitioning users. My main dislikes are pretty much all UI based, the Settings app is still half baked an...

I had no problem with Windows 10, but I wanted features like DirectStorage, so I switched to 11. The only thing I don't really like is the changes to the Start menu and right-click context menus, but other than that I haven't had many issues. I...

Given the time and the resources they have to create their games, it's inexcusable, how clunky an outdated just overall shoddy their triple A titles are. They're becoming a joke in the industry among gamers. They can't even handle a simple update...
