Unless you used OLED before or played around with one in a store I would avoid OLED for productivity. Text clarity has improved in the past few years, but its still significantly worse than LCDs, particularly in MS Office products.
I mean, both of your examples aren't exactly wrong. Suicide will definitely end depression for you. Not sure about your loved ones but that's their problem, not yours. Glue sticking the cheese to pizza should be fine, so long as you get...
Very typical unfortunately. I would rather repair my devices than to replace. Usually I can't because I can't get quality parts. For example, aftermarket replacement batteries are usually junk. OEM ones are usually not obtainable or better yet...
Homefront PC 2011
This FPS from Kaos Studios and published by THQ isn't bad......not the best but worth a playthrough. I'm running @ 6800x3840 and it runs great!
Playing this on the Xbox 360 and having it mostly hit 60 fps was an eye-opener for me. Especially since my poor graphics card couldn't do it. That was almost 20 years ago now. Damn.... Where has the time gone.
Sad to hear you're completely getting out JBL, but I'm glad you gave us a lot of good posts and insights over the years.
I gotta say thought if I had to get rid of all my tubes and only keep one, it would definitely be a 15kHz set, whether a PVM...
Not sure I understand. Wouldn't they be 30 regardless of who has them? Was it that you just didn't have a good place to set it up?
Family and friends of course are ultimately all that matter though.
My CRT's all hailed from the early 2000's. The last of their breed (except for my recapped PVM - that one is from 1996?). So yeah they're only in their early 20s at this point. By the time my youngest two are coming to leave the house well...
I didn't get any new display. I've been downsizing and decluttering. My kinds don't care about this kind of stuff. I care more about spending time with them. By the time they're out of the house these monitors will be at least 30 years old...
BANNED. 😉
What display did you end up getting? I’m going to build a new office where the gaming PC is going, and I’ve tapped the idea of selling the FW900 to finally be with a new screen.
Just checking in on my favorite non-soapbox thread here. Keep it going ladies and gentlemen. Y'all are rocking it. I just sold my last PC CRT monitor and gave away my Quantum Data 801GG to a fellow monitor nerd. Hopefully it gets some more love.
